Happy New Year

Happy New Year. I'm in Apia today working on a proposal for the homework center. I'm sending out an email for childrens book requests for the resource center part of the project. If you can help that would be great.

I Simi! My name is Lysa, I live in Aussie and I was there in Samauga for Christmas and new years. We met but not too sure if you would remember me because there loads of people around that time holidaying and visiting Ma&Pa as known to you as the old man&old lady hahaha.

Wow, finally you've got your fale o'o up and running, Praise God lol I know us Samoans are just great like that hahaha say one thing today and another tomorrow.

Just wanted to post a comment as I've read almost all your blogs and find them really funny and interesting. Also to ask where the rest of your blogs have gone?? hahaha, you posted just the one for Janurary this year, would love to hear more of whats happening over there and how it's affects your life on a daily basis hehe. Maybe because you are overseas at the moment with your parents? I remember hearing about your parents going over there. I was reading your blog to me dad and he said that they fixed the back kitched especially for the arrival of your parents.... or did that not happen?? If not, then my dad must've meant, It was "suppose" to happen lol (Samoans for you).

Anywho Thanking you for all your great work there, I, a Australian born and raised Samoan am especially thankful you are doing something great for our people... starting from the small things (I know it's your job and the reason why you are there but just a little insight of my thoughts) And furthermore appreciative because it's my Nu'u and keeping my Ma&Pa good company, they tell us all the time that it's great to be your host family!

Hope you are keeping well in that hot weather even us Samoans from outside cannot handle.

Before I go just wanted to say how much my family and I were laughing when the mayor said to you - Oh Simi, very fast Samoan builder, build house one day and you replied - More like, 5months buddy hahahahahaha! that was so funny coz we soooo feel ya on that one lol.

Prayers and kind thoughts!!!
Lysa Theresa So'oalo!

ps; If you read this in time, please say a big hello to the family! esp Ma&Pa, thanks!
